WHEN TO GO

Spring and summer are the best times to visit. In May there is the wine festival and at the end of August, the Feast of Forgiveness, gastronomic and recreational event.

WHY RADDA IN CHIANTI

Typically medieval village surrounded by defensive walls, on the hill that divides the valleys of Arbia and Pesa. It is a very touristic town of Siena, important wine center rich in cultural and folklore events. To visit to experience the typical atmosphere of Chianti and its best wine.

GETTING AROUNG

The best way to get around is by car. Cycling to the natural landscapes in the area. The village is walking tour.

WHAT TO SEE

The village has the characteristic medieval appearance with interesting historical and religious buildings. The historic castle today only remnants of walls and towers, the town gathers around the Church of St. Nicholas (XIV century) and the Praetorian Palace, which dates from the fifteenth century. The famous ancient ice town, dating back to the times of Grand Duke. Also worth seeing is the Museo del Chianti at Montevertine Farm, with documentation of the rural culture and the Center Historical Studies Chiantigiani Vignale at the farm.

Visit the farms in the area to sample the Chianti and other Tuscan delicacies. You can do naturalistic and food and wine tours.
